Taber’s 120th Celebration
- June 30
Family friendly event
Taber is turning 120 years old, and we’re celebrating with a day full of festivities, history, and community spirit! Over the years, Taber has built a reputation for its strong agricultural roots, vibrant culture, and welcoming community, and this milestone is a chance to reflect on its journey while looking ahead to the future. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or visiting for the first time, this event promises to be a memorable celebration of Taber’s rich history and bright future.
The day will be packed with an exciting country concert in Confederation Park! We will be paying tribute to the generations who have shaped the town into what it is today. Headlining the event is The Washboard Union, a JUNO and 9x CCMA Award-winning country band known for their incredible harmonies and high-energy performances. Also taking the stage is Aaron Goodvin, an Alberta-born, Nashville-based artist and award-winning songwriter with 13 CCMA nominations and a 2018 CCMA Songwriter of the Year win. Joining them is Kalsey Kulyk, a gifted storyteller from Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, whose heartfelt songs have been steadily building a loyal fanbase worldwide.
As part of the 120th Anniversary Celebration, the FortisAlberta Free Family BBQ will bring the community together for great food and good company. Later in the day, a special concert will set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Over the years, Taber has hosted incredible events that unite friends and families, from Cornfest’s high-energy entertainment and delicious eats to the annual Canada Day fireworks lighting up the sky. This milestone celebration will continue that tradition, paying tribute to the town’s past, present, and future. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate Taber’s legacy!
